In this chapter, Melainie has a nightmare that provides some foresight for an upcoming battle that awaits her and her loved ones.

Some backstory:
Many years before Melainie's birth, King Sodin had the once great gates to Uvin City barred and buried beneath sand, locking in hundreds of people. His cruel act led to years of starvation and soon cannibalism. The people became cut-throat and desperate, some of them mutating into monsters, Grinvdins and other strange beasts. Hatred for The Flarein Royal Family spread throughout the desert.
Soon, an ocean of crimson will flood the city and one day, the castle. Melainie finds herself to be a pawn of the Civil War before she even realizes it. She secretly sharpens her fighting experience in, The Death Duels, a series of gruesome games held within The Lost City of Uvin, the once glorious marketplace, now nothing more than a blood-drenched tomb filled with thieves and bandits who enjoy watching each other fight to the death.
Her Divine Ancestor, Flare, Goddess of Lightning, sent Queen Savia a vision that her third daughter, Melainie, would save the people from war. While Savia believes Flare meant The Dark War, she chooses to ignore the fact that her own kingdom is at war with itself.
As Melainie grows older and more rebellious, will she be ready to prove herself when the time comes?
Will she be able to bring the people together after the horrors her family committed? Will she end this Civil War and bring about a new era of peace as Flare, Goddess of Lightning, told Queen Savia?
